Ky Babyn of Rhea March Music in collaboration with Perogies and Jam, presented a great all day musician workshop and concert at the Railway Station on Saturday, November 19. The event attracted 19 enthusiastic attendees including participants from Vegreville, Sherwood Park, Vilna and Viking. This was a follow up to a previous workshop on performance skills held in June this year.

Edmonton based song writer and recording artist, Ky Babyn entertained, taught and coached using songs he was writing for his next CD. Each attendee was given the opportunity to perform their own song or a song by another artist. The event concluded with an evening performance in the restaurant to an appreciative audience late into the evening.

Perogies and Jam focuses on building the skills of local musicians through hosting performance events, conducting workshops, collaborating with music teachers, providing music at downtown street markets, and bringing in musicians to encourage and inspire local musical talent. Vegreville and area continues to develop amazing talent in music; Perogies and Jam compliments other established arts community groups in music, dance, drama, festivals and visual arts.
